Ardrossan to Portencross – Ayrshire Coastal Path
Walking
This 6.8 mile (11 km) walk along the picturesque Ayrshire Coastal Path will take around 3.5 hours. The walk is along roads, promenades, cycle paths and sandy beaches
This tour is 6.5 miles long, please allow at least 1 hour 55 minutes to complete it, excluding the time taken to enjoy the destinations along the way.
The walk takes you along a beautiful sandy shoreline beneath rolling farmland and the Craft Town of East Kilbride. Sights along the way include Horse Isle, volcanic dykes, an 18th Century Seamill, beautiful beaches and an Iron Age fort and dun.
