The walk is steeped in Scotland's industrial past and takes you from Irvine through ‘The Three Towns’ of Stevenson, Saltcoats and Ardrossan. Sights along the walk include the Robert Burns Statue, and the oval track of the Cadgers’ track where cart horses and ponies are still raced mid-August. Watch out for the Garnock Floods Nature Reserve where duck, geese and waders can be seen. The impressive Victorian era villas of Saltcoats are a reminder of the towns' historical importance, as the new Clyde Marina looks to the future.
