Ayr to Troon – Ayrshire Coastal Path

This 9.6 mile (15.5 km) walk along the picturesque Ayrshire Coastal Path will take around 5 hours. The walk is along a promenade, pavements, dirt tracks and sandy beaches

This tour is 9.6 miles long, please allow at least 2 hours 40 minutes to complete it, excluding the time taken to enjoy the destinations along the way.

This walk takes you from the historic port of Ayr past sandy bays, Prestwick airport and the Troon ferry terminal. The sights include St John’s Church, still with Cromwellian muskets ball dents in the lower walls, Loudon Hall (the oldest building in Ayr), a long promenade, sandy beaches and Troon harbour.
