About Tairlaw Linn
Tairlaw Linn is a waterfall near Straiton in South Ayrshire. The waterfall makes a spectacular drop into a deep plunge pool. It can be seen by following the river, approximately 2 miles from Tairlaw Bridge. In 1885, local poet William Davidson, wrote of Tairlaw Linn: 'There is a spot, a calm retreat Where earth and heaven seem to meet, Where pleasures are for ever sweet, 'Tis Tairlaw.'

Many choose to park in Straiton and walk to the falls from there.
