Mount Stuart Gardens
The ancestral seat of the Marquess of Bute, the Mount Stuart estate combines manor home, visitor centre and gardens housing arboricultural and horticultural collections of global significance.
Guided tours of the house and garden are available upon request. For children, there is also an adventure play area and a scenic picnic area in the grounds of the house. The attraction combines the Manor Home, Gardens, Visitor Centre, Shop and Café set against a striking Firth of Clyde backdrop. 300 acres of gardens and grounds, including a private beach.
From spring’s rhododendron and magnolia blooms to autumn’s golden birch and maple trees, expect a colourful show all year round. Exotic plant life flourishes, adding an unexpected hint of the tropical, while winding woodlands stretch right down to the shore.

Explore the Kitchen Garden which provides fresh produce for the Courtyard Café and don’t miss the Pinetum – home to more than 800 towering conifers.
