Isle of Arran's Cheese Shop
The Cheese Shop was established in 1991 and built on the site of the old dairy for Home Farm. The location Home Farm was the farm that provided for the Lords and Ladies in the Castle hundreds of years ago.
Here they make 14 varieties of flavoured cheddars, this can be watched through a large picture window in the shop and there are delicious sample available to taste.
They also sell cheese from their sister company, Bellevue Cheese Co, based in Blackwaterfoot. These include Arran Brie, Arran Camembert and Arran Blue which was named Best Scottish Cheese two years running at the World Cheese Awards.
If cheese isn't your thing, you'll find a huge range of giftware and deli products, including the shop's own homemade chutneys to choose from. They also have a Grey Fergie Vintage tractor for the young kids and old men to play on.
