Dalrymple

The village of Dalrymple lies in the Doon Valley, on the north bank of the River Doon in East Ayrshire. The community was first established around 1800, beginning with only two streets; Main Street and Garden Street. The area grew slowly until the late 20th century when around 1000 houses were built for miners and their families.
