Craft Town Scotland
Craft Town Scotland is an excellent example of a community led, regeneration project using creativity as its driving force. The village has become a destination for anyone with a love of making and creating.
The Barony Centre, an upgraded 19th Century Grade C listed church, lies at the heart of the village where you may purchase Scottish Arts and Crafts, and view an annual programme of exhibitions in one of the most unusual all round galleries in the West of Scotland. The Centre also offers an excellent café with home produced baking and a range of delicious food and drink.
Nine delightful studios have been created along the village’s Main Street where many different makers and artists may be seen. These are working studios and are open to the public on Thursday to Saturday 11-4 pm or make your own special arrangements by visiting the website.
Other makers, mini galleries, gift shops and independent retail units offer visitors an interesting experience.
Turn off the A78 on one of the five roads signposted to West Kilbride.
