About Burns Bachelors' Club
Originally an alehouse, this club was used as Robert Burns' Bachelors' Club, when the poet, his brother and five others met there between 1780 and 1784 'to forget their cares and labour in mirth and diversion'. The room they met in was reached by and outside stair and was sometimes used for dancing.

Find out more about Robert Burns’s formative years in this authentically restored attraction. See the room where Burns and his friends gathered to debate the big issues of the day, and look out for the ‘10 Rules of Membership’ written by Burns himself. Guided tours are available, as well as opportunities to handle historical household objects from Burns' own lifetime.
