Ayr

The popular seaside town of Ayr lies on the south west coast of Scotland, around 37 miles from Glasgow. With a population of 46,490 in 2015, Ayr is the largest settlement in South Ayrshire. The beach is a huge attraction with visitors arriving for both long stays and for day trips from surrounding areas. There is a fantastic esplanade that runs along the clean beach, with a great selection of shops, cafes and ice-cream nearby, with plenty of car parking.
