About Ascog Fernery
Ascog Hall and its stunning Victorian Fernery is a fascinating day out, especially for nature lovers. Dating back to around 1870, it houses many fern species, including a 1000 year-old Todea Barbara or King Fern. This species is the only one from the original collection. Alongside this, there are plenty of exotic perennials, shrubs and trees such as the Chilean Fire Tree. Additional garden features have been added on in the stables and coach house ruin.

There is parking for restricted mobility visitors by the house and dogs are permitted. There are also public toilet facilities. All garden proceeds are used for the upkeep of the Fernery.
