Robertson Museum and Aquarium at Scottish Field Centre

The Robertson Museum and Aquarium at the Scottish Field Centre showcases many species found in Scottish coastal waters. All the animals in the aquarium are caught by students during surveying work or caught by hand during diving and snorkelling trips. Water is pumped directly from the sea into the tanks which brings with it naturally occurring nutrients and food particles for the animals to feed on, creating an environment which closely resembles the species natural habitat, who are kept in the aquarium for no longer than three weeks before being realised back into the sea.
Visitors are welcome to come and learn about the wonderful creatures that live in the Scottish coastal waters. The aquarium is open Monday to Friday to the public from 10am-4pm and on selected weekends during school holidays and bank holidays. Adult admission is £2.50 and children £1.
