Alloway

Alloway is a picturesque village approximately 2.5 miles from the town of Ayr. It is most well known as the birthplace of Robert Burns, Scotland’s national poet.
Visitors can explore Burns Cottage in which he was born and the Burns Monument and Memorial Gardens. The cottage now acts as a museum and holds some of his most important collections of work such as personal letters and manuscripts.
