Every picture has a story to tell

Sometimes the only way to really capture a moment is through an image – and we want to see yours and hear the story behind it. So whether it’s a view you’ve enjoyed with those closest to you or wildlife encounters in your own backyard, we’d like you to illustrate how you have experienced The Coig locally during 2021.

The Coig have launched an exciting new photo story competition called #CaptureTheCoig. We are inviting keen photographers to share an image and the story behind it via social media. The competition will run throughout 2021 and will have different monthly themes.

winners so far…

Theme for AUGUST 2021 is: Happiness is…

Our monthly photo story competition, #CaptureTheCoig continues into August with the theme of: HAPPINESS IS…

We’d like to see images that tell a story, illustrate moments of positivity whilst focussing on our monthly theme of HAPPINESS. Enter your images of your happy place, experiences or activities that make you feel happy, food and drink that brings joy to the tastebuds (we’re thinking ice cream here), or maybe happy times with your favourite people.

Don’t forget to simply add #CaptureTheCoig to the pics you share on social media to be in with a chance of winning luxury hamper worth £100 from Geraldo’s, Largs! HAPPY snapping! ????

Our monthly photo story competition, #CaptureTheCoig continues into August with the theme of: Happiness is…

We’d like to see images that tell a story, illustrate moments of positivity whilst focussing on our monthly theme of WATER WELLNESS. We have seen some amazing images of our coasts, islands and experiences and the beautiful plankton bloom on social media recently. There are many mental and physical health benefits of being in ‘blue spaces’ and as 2021 is VisitScotland’s Year of Coast and Waters what better excuse is there to get out and about around The Coig with your camera? So melt your troubles away, breath in the lovely sea air and happy snapping!

Don’t forget to add #CaptureTheCoig to the pics you share on social media to be in with a chance of winning luxury hamper worth £100 from Geraldo’s, Largs!

The Coig’s CEO Daniel Steel said,

“We’re proud to launch the competition and look forward to seeing The Coig’s 5 routes at their very best throughout the year.

“This competition is a real celebration of the place we call home. While we can’t explore beyond our immediate area at the moment, it’s still possible to get the year started by capturing a snapshot of something that sums up the beauty of The Coig while you’re out for your daily exercise.

“Look out for the monthly themes on social media for your chance to win a staycation prize at the end of the year.”
